Pacific Cruisers is the best - FACT!
My wife and I have been holidaying on the Broads for over 30 years and have remained loyal to various boatyards until they closed. Our main criterion was always 'value for money' although finances often meant we had to get as 'cheap' as possible.
Richard and Fiona managed to combine the two.
It was probably some 6 or 7 years ago that we first 'struck a deal' hiring from Pacific Cruisers and since then we have earned the title of being either 1st or 2nd of their most regular customers. Most years we have hired 'Moonlight' on a number of ocassions although we have also hired Emerald, Princess, Imperial and Dawn as well as at least one boat that they no longer have. Moonlight has been our 'staple' and is great for two although I'd prefer Dawn for more than 1 couple. My absolue favourite is Imperial, the boat we hired when my sister and bro-in-law joined us last year. We/ve not hired the more recent acquisitions but I'm in no doubt that they will be up to the excellent standard that Richard and Fiona maintain.
Getting old and even 'greyer' and having come into a little money, I had to 'fess up' to Richard and Fiona that we were looking to buy our own boat - which we have now done. We now own a boat called 'Crystal', an ex-hire boat from Anchorcraft, and whilst we always honour the 'waving' etiquette to other boat users, we'll always give an even more entusiastic wave to Pacific Cruisers hirers - look out for us - we intend to use our new baby regularly.
Richard and Fiona have been great about this and Pacific Cruisers will always be my first point of call for any maintenance or service requirements I have.
Be in no doubt - owning your own boat does not save you money. In our case it is just a luxury and a 'dream' that we have had for many years. If you want to 'try' boating on the Norfolk Broads or if you want a 'regular' hire service, then look no further than Pacific Cruisers. They're not the newest boats on the Broads, but they are possibly the best maintained ones. We've hired what used to be called a 'blue chip' boat ftom a different company and it didn't come near to the quality of Pacific Cruisers boats.
My message is. hire elsewhere, ONLY, if Pacific Cruisers can't accommodate you and make sure that subsequent bookimgs allow you to use them.
In my early days of boating, I felt that boatyards affiliated to Blakes or Hoseasons made you feel as 'tho they were doing YOU favour. Not so with Pacific Cruisers - this is a true independent and you'll feel relaxed from the moment you arrive.
And 'no' - I don't have 'interest' in Pacific Cruisers' - I genuinely believe they are the best!

Hi Ray. Yes thank you we have had an excellent season and bookings are looking very good for 2012. And yes, we are selling Pacific Swift as we have purchased Lady Conway to replace her. I believe we will be naming her Pacific Conway. She is a new version and the bedroom is separated from the saloon. Best wishes Fiona

Pacific Cruisers were absolutely top notch from the nice boatyard, location, the attention to detail about the boat, it's operation, the lesson, the knowledge of area etc. They were friendly, organized and I really appreciate the effort this family run business goes to.
We received a warm welcome from Fiona when we finally arrived an hr late from traffic. We did call to let them know, no problem. They had everything ready for us when we did get there. We were able to drive right in front of boat, unloaded our belongings and the lesson began right away. Michael did a superb job of letting us know everything we needed to know about Pacific Emerald during our holiday, showed us how everything worked, rigged us up w lifejackets (inc our dog), and soon we were on our way on almost an hr long lesson on operating the boat, mooring, ropes, etc
We set off after feeling confident we had the knowledge needed and Michael answering repeated questions, lol TY for your patience! I'm so glad Fiona steered us to the perfect boat for us 1st timers also! It was fine inside for us 3, hubby, myself and teen daughter along w pets. It was small enough to moor easily, operate and no problem w bridges etc. It was nice cruising right thru things while bigger boats waited, fit into moorings others couldn't. I think if we had the bigger boat I was looking at would have just added to alot of stress, so great decision there Fiona! It was clean, had everything we needed, perfect boat really! Everything worked great.. I'll miss you Pacific Emerald, til we meet again, sniff. Next time I'll def get same boat, same company. Can't freaking wait! TY for your expertise and for a perfect holiday on the Broads! X

A good looking website well done. The new images do your boats greater justice. Always a friendly and helpful reception at 'Pacific' whether on the phone or turning up to 'collect the boat'. Having used both Blakes & Hoseasons in the past it really does make a refreshing change to deal with a family business who put their customers first. May you continue to trade for years to come.
